I don’t know about you but I do LARGE dogs.  The ABS pan that usually comes with a crate does not last long. My dogs walk a hole in them.. The spacing of the crosspieces in the bottom of the crate are about 8″ wide. If one of my 100 pounders walk on that for a week the crate pan splits. Not a good situation as it can pinch the dog.

My solution to that is Metal Crate Pans. These pans are made of galvanized steel and provide a non crackable surface for my big guys to frolic on.  These replacement crate pans can be found but they are usually quite expensive.  The good news is that you only have to buy one. They last for a very long time.  Mine are going on 10 years old without a blemish.
